Adjunct Instructor

Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Department of Anthropology seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor Pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2018, Spring 2019, and Summer 2019 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.

The anticipated need may include but is not limited to, a variety of undergraduate sociocultural courses, general anthropology, peoples and cultures courses and advanced topics courses. Graduate courses may include, but are not limited to, courses in methods, theory and praxis, design anthropology.

Minimum Qualifications:
A Masters in Anthropology for is required for teaching undergraduate courses and a PhD in Anthropology or related field is required for teaching graduate courses.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching college level courses; familiarity with Blackboard/similar system; experience with a diverse student population; excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate with diverse staff and students.
