Post Doctoral Associate
1. Developing expertise in Maryland?s IFSP and IEP processes through attendance at all relevant professional development opportunities and meetings and sharing that information with Early Childhood/Early Childhood Special Education (EC/ECSE) majors at UMD.
2. Developing expertise in Teaming, Coaching, Natural and Inclusive Learning by supporting and engaging in all Shelden & Rush activities in Maryland to include state-level, jurisdictional, and UMD-sponsored events and organizing a Master Coaches training collaboration with the MSDE DSE/EIS Early Childhood team.
3. Developing expertise in Maryland?s Birth to Kindergarten Child Outcomes System (COS) through attendance at all relevant professional development opportunities and meetings and presenting COS information to EC/ECSE majors at UMD.
4. Establishing and administering an Early Childhood Special Education Consortium for all Institutes of Higher Education (IHEs) in Maryland and organizing all ECSE Consortium meetings and communications.Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Special Education, preferably Early Childhood Special Education, by the time of appointment. Additionally, the ideal candidate will show evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills, exemplary interpersonal skills, strong analytical and organizational skills, and technology skills (Google Apps and Microsoft Office).
