Coordinator, Research Programs/Services

Assist NSTC Director, Associate Director, Graduate Program Coordinator and faculty with NSTC research and other general administration activities.

Coordinate post-award and compliance research activities with NSTC faculty and staff.

Manage a C&G reconciliation accounting system and review expenditures to ensure allowability, allocability and reasonableness per Uniform Guidance. Prepare cost transfers in a timely manner, in accordance with the University and federal/state policies and procedures.

Review and process purchase and travel requests from C&G funds including verifying the availability of funds, review of compliance requirements following university, state and federal guidelines and preparation of requisition and supporting documentation.

Review monthly project statements from ORC and advise faculty on items needing attention. Monitor and reconcile balances to ensure spending within budget categories and project dates as applicable. Coordinate with faculty, ORC and F&A for budget transfer requests and no-cost extensions.

Assist Associate Director with project management including reviewing project end dates, preparing expenditure projections for faculty, performing financial analysis of direct and indirect costs and making any necessary adjustments in conjunction with ORC and F&A to prepare for closeout in accordance with University policies and procedures.

Review and track cost share commitments and provide updates to faculty and NSTC administration.

Interact with F&A on all aspects of invoicing for accounts (Accounts Payable, Receivable and General).

Manage department purchasing operations and make recommendation to strengthen processes within NSTC to comply with both federal and state audit requirements. Act as liaison with Purchasing, ORC, F&A and property to ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

Coordinate collection, compilation, analysis and submission of data for administrative reports as requested by NSTC administration.

Coordinate with faculty and ORC the submission of required deliverables.

Serve as a backup personnel for all C&G pre-award activities in reviewing and submitting proposal.

Assist NSTC Graduate Program Coordinator as necessary.

Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Master?s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor?s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

Masters degree in an appropriate area of specialization or a bachelor degree in an appropriate are of specialization and two years appropriate experience.

Good capabilities with arithmetic operations, attentiveness to detail as well as precision and accuracy.
