Administrative Analyst/Office Manager
Involves managing or performing the administrative services or managing the full general operations of an academic or non-academic organization(s). Administrative services includes activities in finance and human resources and may also include IT, facilities, or student services. General management includes long and short range strategic planning in determining the mission and directing all activities of multi-disciplinary departments through subordinate management staff.

Under the general direction of the Disability Resource Center (DRC) Director, the Administrative Analyst oversees financial and personnel functioning in a fast paced, complex office environment in order to ensure timely ADA accommodations process. Analyzes data and finances to make recommendations regarding operations to ensure legally mandated services. Writes reports summarizing data analysis and prepares financial information in a precise, timely and user-friendly manner. Duties include: management of $900,000+ budget, coordination of travel, procurement and other financial transactions, coordination of personnel actions, coordination of electronic records and data collection, collaboration with other units regarding data and ADA accommodation processes, oversight of administrative hardware and software.

The Disability Resource Center (DRC) leads UC Santa Cruz in providing educational equity and a welcoming environment for students with disabilities. The DRC identifies legally mandated Accommodations that address disabling barriers and work with faculty and students to remove barriers. The DRC educates campus on disability diversity and equal educational access. The team ensures compliance with State, Federal and local laws and ensures compliance with UC policies.

Qualifications / Competencies

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

Experience with financial policies, practices, and systems.

Experience with gathering information to organize, and perform financial analysis assignments.

Proven ability using spreadsheet and database software for financial analysis, budget projections, and report writing.

Possess critical thinking skills, sound judgement, and attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to develop policies and procedures in consultation with other staff to insure a smooth-running operation.

Strong organization skills; ability to work independently with multiple projects, changing deadlines and regular interruptions.

Experience with hiring processes, personnel actions, related record keeping; onboarding and orientation.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member in a diverse fast-paced office with complex customer service.

Excellent oral and written communication skills to explain complex financial or accommodation procedures.

Ability to effectively supervise two professional staff members and 1-2 student employees.

Preferred Qualifications / Competencies

Knowledge of disability related issues.

Experience working with multi-cultural populations.

Experience with logic base report writing utilizing SQL, Data Warehouse, or similar programming platforms.

Experience with UCSC specific financial systems and processes.

Special Conditions of Employment

Selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check.
