Veterinary Technician Certification
The Veterinary Accounts Specialist will provide billing, collection, patient census, and auditing functions within the Veterinary Medical Center. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing customer service (internal and external) related to all aspects of billing; establishing credit worthiness of clients, setting up financial arrangements and payment plans, maintaining credit applications; preparing deposits and change orders; accounting maintenance in hospital information system; timely bill auditing to ensure capturing of all fees related to medical procedures; working with patient care units, customer service department, and practice manager to ensure complete billing, account statement reviews, corrections, and mailings; other duties as assigned. This is a full-time position with work hours Monday-Fridays on 2nd shift between the hours of 2:00pm and 11:00pm; 2nd shift hours will be eligible for shift differential. Position may include occasional travel to Dublin, Ohio. Background check required prior to employment.
Bachelor?s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Ohio; commensurate veterinary or medical office setting experience; knowledge of medical terminology and experience with computers and office equipment; basic accounting skill and/or experience.
