Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization with a minimum of one-two years' secretarial/clerical experience in fast-paced work environment

Departmental Requirements - Knowledge, Abilities, Skills

Proficient with Excel and data entry (top candidates may be tested)
Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and detail-oriented skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software systems
Ability to work well in high-pressure situations, maintain accurate records, multi-task and prioritize with excellent time management skills
Knowledge of employment practices and procedures
Must be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of our division and provide great customer service
Ability to maintain confidentiality


Experience in Human Resources; experience with integrated database system and/or PeopleSoft HRMS


The duties include, but are not limited to: entering data for new hires, transfers, personal changes, position changes, updates, terminations. This position may also be involved in the entry or review of the benefit enrollment information into PeopleSoft Human Resource Management System; assisting new employees with on-line orientation and payroll processing paperwork in both one-on-one and group settings and ensuring that all required documents are properly completed and all backup documentation is received in a timely fashion; responding to inquiries and providing assistance to employees/retirees via telephone and in person regarding their benefits; processing, scanning, and filing benefit related forms; cover front desk including delivering outgoing mail and retrieving incoming mail daily; and assisting with employee clearance process, including e-mail clearance process and separation notices; and other duties as assigned


Shift: Days/M-F

Pay Grade: 8

Salary: $11.90/hr - $14.15/hr

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position

Recruitment Period: 7/13/17 until filled
