Building Specialist I/II (3rd Shift)
**This is for a 3rd shift position from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM (subject to adjustments)**
Student Affairs at Auburn University is seeking candidates for the position of Building Specialist in the Campus Recreation Department to perform cleaning services at the Recreation and Wellness Center. This position will be required to work non-traditional hours, which includes nights and weekends.
Essential job functions include (but not limited to):
Perform general custodial and/or housekeeping duties at the Recreation and Wellness Center to accommodate guests. This includes, but is not limited to cleaning recreational activity areas, locker rooms, bathrooms, office areas, and some exterior areas.
Operate support machinery to include, but not limited to service vehicles, lift devices, and various power and floor maintenance tools.
Identify and report maintenance problems.
May stock supply closets at various locations by ordering, receiving, and verifying delivery of supplies from outside vendors, including the organizing of such supplies.
May operate commercial laundry facilities.

Entry into the applicant pool requires the ability to read and write, follow instructions, and understand diagrams. Employer will consider advanced degree's in lieu of experience. This position will also require the ability to carry a cleaning machine that weighs approximately 25 lbs. on their back and be able to lift heavy furniture. Interpersonal communication skills necessary to work directly with the public and students are also required.
